2026: Rethinking Athletics #1

In this bonus episode of the Ambassadors Baseball Show, we begin a new series titled “Rethinking Athletics.” Over the past several years, it has become increasingly clear that youth sports is shaping far more than athletic ability. Modern sports culture is discipling families, shaping priorities, consuming schedules and slowly redefining what matters most.

This episode asks an important question: What is the current system of athletics actually producing in the lives of our children and families?

As families become overwhelmed by pressure, exhaustion and constant demands, many are beginning to realize that something feels deeply out of order. Athletics can be a tremendous gift from God, but when sports become central instead of rightly ordered underneath a biblical worldview, disorder inevitably follows.

In this episode, we begin thinking carefully about how athletics, discipleship, family life and the worship of God all connect together. This is not a call to abandon sports, but a call to rethink them through the lens of Scripture and the Glory of God.
